At Little Angels Nursery we believe it is right to be led by the children and what they want to do. Our routine for the children, whilst planned, is therefore flexible. We use a visual timetable so everyone can see what is coming next in their day.
Self registration and free play activities.
This will give children the chance to share their news and listen to others. It will also give the staff chance to ask the children what they want to do in choosing time that day. When it comes to renewing the topic the children will be asked to say what they want to learn about, that way they have the chance to add what they want to.
This is a social time for the children, where they will have water or milk with fruit as a snack, sat around the table with their friends.
This is a time where children are able to choose activities from different areas, such as outdoor play, construction, role play, creative activities and adult led activities. We also make use of the bus and outdoor community to be able to go out to the parks, library, duck feeding etc.
The children love to sing and listen to stories in this time before lunch.
Lunchtime will also be a social event. The children will be expected to lay the tables, pour their own drinks and sit down at the table to eat. The team will sit with the children and reinforce table manners and encourage conversations. Over a full day, our delicious home cooked lunch and snacks provide their 5 a day, every day they are at Little Angels Nursery.
Didgeridoo Music with Miriam Sawyer will join us on a Rota once a week, to give the children the opportunity to enjoy her fantastic music routine. We will also have Maggie from Tots and Dots visiting who will come in and tell us stories.
Repeat as the morning - Again we will be able to access the bus and outdoor activities.
The children love to sing and listen to stories in this time before tea.
This will be a simple social mealtime with sandwiches and vegetable sticks and yogurt.
The children get to express their personalities as they choose from the hundreds of different activities available to them at nursery.
The Little Cherubs Room will have a similar routine, with art activities and singing time. Everyday the team will go out for walks with the babies to introduce the outdoor community such as duck feeding, library and singing time. We will also give the babies lots of chance to access the other rooms down stairs, including Didgeridoo music and art activities.
